Who I Am

One practice, five services — never mixed on the same job.

I'm Gabriel Antoine. GA Property Services is my practice — a one-person operation, which means the person you speak with is the person handling your work.

I'm a licensed Public Adjuster in New York, New Jersey, and Indiana, and an IICRC-certified Water Damage Restoration and Fire & Smoke Restoration technician.

I offer five services: claim consulting, full claim representation, independent damage appraisal, construction oversight, and remodeling & renovation. What they have in common is that I work for the property owner, never the insurance company — and I never mix an insurance role with a construction role on the same job.

I came to public adjusting through property restoration and construction. That background is why I can read a carrier's estimate and tell whether the scope is right — whether the drywall allowance accounts for what's behind it, whether the roof was measured correctly, whether the depreciation applied is actually recoverable. Most adjusters have never held a moisture meter. I have.

My commitment to you

I work for you, not the insurance company — that's true on every claim, every time, no exceptions.

  • You'll always know where your claim stands. No black box, no disappearing between calls — I tell you what's happening and what's next.

  • No fee unless you're paid. My interest and yours are the same interest.

  • I never wear two hats on your property. If I'm your Public Adjuster, I'm not your contractor — that line doesn't move, ever.

  • I'll tell you the truth about your claim, even when it's not what you want to hear. A realistic number you can plan around beats an inflated one that falls apart at negotiation.

  • Persistence:"I stay on your claim through the final check, not just the easy parts — supplemental claims and underpaid settlements included."

I don't perform repair, restoration, or construction work on a property while I'm representing you as your Public Adjuster — full stop, no exceptions. I do offer construction and renovation services through GA Property Services, but never to the same client, on the same property, at the same time as a claim I'm handling. The separation matters more than the overlap would be worth: a public adjuster who also profits from the repairs has an interest in the outcome that isn't purely yours.

That means I'm never the contractor on a project I'm overseeing, and never the builder on a claim I'm representing. Each client relationship stays within one service, so there's never a question of which interest I'm serving. When your claim needs contractors, engineers, or hygienists, I'll point you toward independent professionals — separate businesses, not affiliates of mine.

What I do

Public Adjusting — Licensed claim representation in New York, New Jersey, and Indiana. I represent policyholders, never insurance companies, from documentation through negotiation and settlement. Paid on contingency: no recovery, no fee. In New York, public adjuster compensation is capped by law at 12.5% of the recovery.

Claims Consulting — Independent advisory work for clients who want a second opinion, expert support for their attorney, or help with strategy, estimates, or documentation — without full claim representation. Billed flat, hourly, or per diem — agreed in writing before I start, and not contingent on your claim's outcome.

Property Damage Appraisal — An independent, documented damage assessment with line-item scope, for clients who want their own professional record of the loss.

Construction Oversight & Owner Representation — For clients hiring their own contractor and wanting an independent set of eyes on the project: site observation, documentation, change-order review, and progress reporting. Available in New York and New Jersey. This service has no connection to insurance claims. Billed hourly, retainer, or project-based.

Remodeling & Renovation — Storm, fire, and water damage rebuilds, and the remodel you've been planning for years: kitchens, baths, additions, and full renovations. Available in New York, New Jersey, and Indiana. Written estimate, project-based.
